Giovanni Cobolli Gigli: Juventus Are Interested In Antonio Cassano

Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli Gigli has confirmed his club's interest in Sampdoria ace Antonio Cassano. The Bianconeri are looking to replace Pavel Nedved with a top-quality creative player. Cassano seems to tick all the right boxes as Juve get their transfer strategy in gear. Gigli admits his club are observing the Italian player, fuelling speculation that they will sign him.

"Cassano is a great player and Juventus are observing such great talented players," Gigli told Tuttosport.

"We are working towards replacing Nedved and we will invest some money there."

If Juve are to land Cassano, it is likely that their investment will need to be quite substantial to convince the Doriani to part company with their man.

Reports suggest Samp want no less than €20 million for their player. Of that figure, €5m will be versed towards previous owners Real Madrid.

The Bianconeri have also been linked with Werder Bremen ace Diego and Valencia star David Silva.
